DELRAY BEACH RESIDENCE

This unusual, octagonal bathroom was very dated and in need of an upgrade.  The existing space also posed privacy and safety issues, with both large windows in and a step down into the shower area.   CHA reimagined the space with clerestory windows to preserve the natural lighting while protecting privacy.  A slab a blue onyx was imagined, though not realized, for dividing the freestanding tub from the double shower.   The shower floor was raised to match the level of the rest of the bathroom and was pitched to a hidden drain under a new custom, floating bench.
